On April 22, the Chamber of Commerce held the inaugural Maxine Parrish Garden & Homestead Sale.  The weather could not have been any better and the event was well attended.  The vendors selling plants were E. Hernandez Family Nursery, Triple J’S Farm and Nursery LLC., Trenton FFA Alumni, A1 Pest Control, and the Chamber also provided free seeds and had several flowering plants for sale. In addition, there were food vendors, numerous craft vendors, and a 4-H and FFA photograph competition with music provided during the event. On top of it all Mrs. Parrish was surrounded by family and friends and the word is that the vendors, participants, and guests are eagerly waiting for next year’s event. Next year’s event is scheduled for April 6th, 2024, and We hope to see you there!

The City of Trenton would like to acquire the Train Depot and has asked for community support.  The Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce supports the request and is now inquiring whether there are others who would also like to sign a petition of support which will be shared with the City of Trenton, elected officials and other government agencies. To sign the petition of support please go to the Chamber of Commerce Website: https://www.gilchristchamber.com/about-us/trenton-depot-landmark-petition/

The petition can be found under the “About Us” Tab on the home page.  Once completed please be sure to check your email to verify the support.  This is done so that there are no false recordings on the petition. Together we can make the county and communities a better place to live!

Please help welcome our newest members: Cherry’s Restaurant, SunStop Market Store #355 Trenton, Bread of the Mighty, Country Legends Radio, Trenton FFA Alumni, and individuals: Brandon Renton, Carl & Geneva Cornwell.  I would also like to give a special “Thank you” for those members who have renewed their annual membership. Please continue to support and shop locally! By working together, we build a stronger community.
