The Gilchrist County Woman’s Club is comprised of ladies from many walks of life. It is comprised of ladies who come together to fulfill the design of the Club.

In 1929, the Trenton Woman’s Club was founded with seven members. Back then, members met in each others homes until Army barracks from Camp Blanding was remodeled and used as the clubhouse. The 1st meeting was there was held in 1948.

As the membership grew, so did the need for a larger building. In 1984, land was donated and plans began to take shape for a new clubhouse. The ground-breaking for the new clubhouse was held in April, 1989. With the help of the Rotary Club, the Trenton community, club members and friends, the Clubhouse was completed in June of 1991. To pay off the loan on the building, numerous events, raffles, chicken dinners and other fund raisers were held and in March of 1997, the loan was paid in full!

In 2004, we expanded our organization to include the entire County and are we now known as the GILCHRIST COUNTY WOMAN’S CLUB.

The Club has a long tradition of bringing women of all ages together to support and serve the needs of our local community and to build a warm and friendly place to live. We are a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to serving Gilchrist County.

The Club welcomes women of all ages. We meet at the Clubhouse on the second Thursday of each month. New members are always welcome!
